I never did anything else over a decade now. From early engine and chassis work at AJP Motos, to leading platform and full-vehicle projects at KTM, to helping Stark bring their prototype into mass production, I\u2019ve seen the full cycle of what it takes to bring a motorcycle from concept to factory floor several times and in different contexts.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">What mistakes have you seen that most startups make?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<br \/><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Disruption does not necessarily mean success.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Very often startups consider that being different is enough. Differentiation is key and catches attention, but the way a motorcycle is used as a vehicle didn\u2019t evolve much in the last decades.\u00a0 So, the process of building a motorcycle should not result into a gimmick.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Another mistake is thinking that a rolling prototype equals a successful product. Many prototypes are impressive, but they\u2019re built in ways that don\u2019t scale: Materials, suppliers, assembly methods. When it comes time to mass-produce, compromises pile up, and the product delivered to the rider isn\u2019t as expected. Most of the times specs, cost and delivery time disappoints the costumers. At Flux, we\u2019re designing every part with scalability in mind from day one. That means riders will get the <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">real bike<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> the performance we prove now is the performance we\u2019ll deliver.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">What\u2019s the most important technical challenge Flux has solved so far?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<br \/><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The drivetrain. Everyone in the electric vehicle industry knows it\u2019s the weak link. Instead of buying off the shelf, Flux built a 7.9 kWh, 450V pack from scratch, 432 wirebonded cells, bottom-cooled, and managed by our own BMS. It gives us class-leading energy density, minimal weight, and most importantly: sets the right expectations for our customers.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">What excites you most about Flux\u2019s technology?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<br \/><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Many companies have one strength: powerful drivetrain, or smart connectivity, or lightweight chassis. However, as I quite often and annoyingly say to my fellow college engineers, my goal is not developing and produce the best battery, the best motor or the best chassis, my goal is developing and produce the best motorcycle.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Flux brings them all together. An 85 HP drivetrain that actually delivers, intelligence that reacts 100 times per second, a chassis designed for racing from the ground up. As an engineer, it excites me that there are no really weak points. That\u2019s what makes this bike truly competitive and the next step for the industry.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">How does your background at KTM and Stark shape your work at Flux?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<br \/><span data-contrast=\"auto\">At KTM, I learned how to break walls and move fast within a big organization, how to test and validate components\/vehicles properly to enable building world-class motorcycles for mass production with precision. At Stark, I saw the raw ambition of a startup pushing electric forward. At Flux, I get to combine both: the discipline to scale and the agility to innovate.
